Bigfoot surprised us with a very early start at 5:45 a.m. today. He could not wait to roll into McDonald’s at Interstate 15 which was still 14 miles away. Stanimal and I took it a little bit slower and were ready to hit the trail by 8:30 a.m. We,too,were looking forward to getting [...] Since we wanted to make it to Interstate 15 within 2 days,another long day was necessary today. Refreshed after the zero day at the hot springs,we left early and exited Deep Creek Canyon at Mojave Dam less than 2 hours later.
