The weather had unexpectedly turned for the worse during the night. Bigfoot was forced to set up his tarp in the middle of the night to stay dry in his bivy. I awoke to dense fog and continuing rain,but fortunately stayed dry inside my tent. We decided to wait and see if it would [...] Today was the official beginning of the Annual Day Zero PCT Kick off (ADZPCTKO) at Lake Moreno Campground. Hikers kept pouring into the campground all day long. Most of them gathered at the pavilion to seek shelter from the heavy rain und almost freezing temperatures. The weather remained nasty the whole day long. Several trail [...] Rainbow after storm I woke up at 6 a.m. Thanks to the ear plugs the storm had not bothered me at all and I had been able to sleep like a baby. The tent was still in one piece after the stormy and rainy night. I watched Katie and Adam packing up and leaving.
