The storm system that had bugged us for the previous two days had finally moved away during the night,and I awoke to what looked to become a gorgeous day. Meadow Ed was serving breakfast right next to my tent. What better start into the day could there have been? At 10 a.m. the various [...] Today was the official beginning of the Annual Day Zero PCT Kick off (ADZPCTKO) at Lake Moreno Campground. Hikers kept pouring into the campground all day long. Most of them gathered at the pavilion to seek shelter from the heavy rain und almost freezing temperatures. The weather remained nasty the whole day long. Several trail [...] Rainbow after storm I woke up at 6 a.m. Thanks to the ear plugs the storm had not bothered me at all and I had been able to sleep like a baby.
